Sony TV’s Parvarrish to bid adieu to teenage romance

Though all the Hindi GECs are gradually catering all the more to the young crowd, only the youth channels like Channel V, MTV and Bindass can actually cater entirely to that section of viewers. The mainstream Hindi GECs like that of Star Plus, Life OK, Colors, Zee TV, Sony TV and Sahara One cannot screen topics which will offend maybe a 30 or 40-year-old. It came as quite a shock to us though that the viewers could have an objection to Sony TV’s Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (DJ’s Creative Unit).

Sony TV has been getting viewers’ complaints as Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi had had many teenage love tracks of late. Our source reveals, “In the last one and a half year, Rocky Singh Ahuluwalia (Tapasvi Mehta) has had three to four girlfriends. Raavi Ahuja (Aanchal Munjal) has had six to seven boyfriends. The ongoing track involving Ginny’s (Aashika Bhatia) love interest is also being twisted.”

We contacted Aanchal who confirmed the news. “As there were too many love tracks the creatives decided that they will focus on other pertinent issues on parenting instead. I am happy with this change too as I was getting tired of enacting romantic sequences.”

Parvarrish was dealing with love tracks with great sensitivity, keeping in mind that this is a family oriented show and was exploring both sides of the coin (the parents as well as the children’s viewpoint). Episodes like these were greatly beneficial to parents who were at a loss while tackling similar issues. We feel that by not telecasting these episodes, it won’t prevent teenagers to get into relationships.

Let’s see how viewers react to the upcoming track changes!!!
